The Capitol Police Officers lived up to their oath and are heroes for defending democracy. One newsletter has worked the story as much as, if not more, than The Washington Post or New York Times. You should look at "The Proof" from Seth Abramson. He has relentlessly tracked down the participants in the 1/6 planning meetings. I bought a paid subscription recently. Stop reading this and go read The Proof.
Highly recommended: Colleen Hagerty's "My World's On Fire" newsletter is the raw, detailed story of climate change. Issue #54 "A Band-Aid on an arterial wound" about firefighting infrastructure (people) was shocking. So I've created a new section for "Disasters" under the "Climate" section.
“Midway Minute” from Kevin (daily) newsletter is about Chicago sports. I know one or two reader of this newsletter who will be interested. (You may have noticed a midwest lean of this newsletter from time to time.)
Unlearning and AI is a topic I want to dig into. It appears to me that this maybe the primary bias of AI or machine learning. Which leads me to "Midlife Tactics" which is not about AI but recently took a look at unlearning. An issue focused on Truth and Simplicity which reminded me of Buckminster Fuller's "more with less." A thought provoking newsletter.
"Future Party" is a weekdaily, curated/commented newsletter. Covering business, entertainment, and culture, it has a wide range with an emphasis on internet life.
"Hark" focuses on Shakespeare with provides a look at scenes from various plays. I find it particularly interesting after listening to the One The Media podcast titled "How You Like It" on Shakespeare which looks at how different the US uses Shakespeare versus England.
"Steady" is Dan Rather's newsletter written with Elliot Kirschner, and Steady Team. The articles are long and worthy of this Texas newscaster. There is a paid version and they accept tips.
Be back in two weeks. This newsletter is published every other week in July and August 2021.
