Getting caught up on newsletters added to Finding.email when my computer went obsolete. Now over 620 newsletters listed.
I think you’ll enjoy the variety of the 11 newsletters mentioned below. Some require me to add new lists to Finding.email. Unfortuately I cannot do that until my replacement computer arrive, then I’ll add new lists in Opinions and a Travel list.
11 Newsletters
A long overdue addition is Early Bird from Steve Lerner. My apologizes. He focuses on investing in stock, crypto and equity & real estate cryptocurrency. Personally, I like the mix as I'm still looking to get comfortable with cryptocurrency.
Pete Moore writes the delightful Road 2 Elsewhere travel newsletter. Issue #15 has this illustration of "vous-induced errors" - French for you, sorta - that made me chuckle and knock some rust off my brain. And the illustrated Robert Frost poem "My November Guest" is wonderful. Enjoy it.
The Tree newsletter from Katerina Pavlakis and Jeff Gill is one: one writing, two: one idea, and three: one song. It reminds me of "prompt" newsletters for creativity and the fiction newsletters. "Cremation is expensive. Alligators are hungry. It all works out." You might enjoy the story.
Brian McGlinchey issue of Stark Realities on "Texas Case Illustrates Raw Tyranny of Civil Asset Forfeiture" is excellent and sad. His two other articles look at debt and social security. I hope he adds links to other resources in future issues.
After reading several issues of Micron by Ilya Novohatskyi, I decided it needed to be added to the startup list even though the topic was sales. But it is very important that people working on startups consider the sale when building.
YouTopian Journey from Shaun Gold is weekly wisdom and motivation. Expect some stunning graphics from the same author as the first graphic novel for self-help, mental health, overcoming obstacles, and self improvement.
Reboot wants us to reclaim or techno-optimism for a better collective future. This interview with a Privacy Engineer from WikiPedia on Algorithmic Transparency does just that. Wikipedia's come a long way from being considered a piranha in grade school to the main source for many search engines today.
If you like expanding your music sphere, "A Single Song Review" newsletter is an interesting way to do so every week. Some issue might match your tastes.
Solving real problem with communities like Reddit is Moritz & Matthias' focus in “Community Validated”. The "r/WallStreetBets" issue looks at the Reddit community and the entire online Gamestop stock story. Marshall McLuhan wrote that he thought most any problem could be solved if enough people knew about it. The newsletter provides an interesting perspective along those lines.
Important Not Important reports not just on science but action steps that you can take. The community is called sh*tgivers. Their podcast is often the main thing but the newsletters has more resources. The most recent issue was 48 gift ideas.
Joe Mayall writes his JoeWrote newsletter every other week on a variety of topics including Socialism. I particularly like "National Parks Should Teach Indigenous History". I also like that he links to another resource.
