#53 State News from Courier Newsletters
North Carolina, Arizona, Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin Local
Good Info Newsletters
Back in October 2021, Axios ran an exclusive story about multi-million dollar funding of new media companies to tackle disinformation. The company was Good Information, Inc. with a launch in 2022 with some deep pocket backers.
I’ve not seen a newsletter from them yet. However they did buy Courier Newsroom which has a newsletter and a network of state newsletters described below. They all have local journalists on staff.
A few interesting similarities: First, all are covering state legislatures. Second, there are no paywalls. Third, all are in important or “purple” states for national politics. All are now in the Statehouse list if you want to read “local” statehouse stories.
