Newsletters Added to Finding.email
These six newsletters were added to Finding.email. There are now 640 newsletters in the directory.
Several newsletters I expected to add this week have not published this year so they will have to wait. The intent of Finding.email is to only include active newsletters. Hopefully it is a holiday break thing, but the bloom maybe off newsletter publishing. Also check the “Bye Newsletters” below.
New Additions
Asia Undercover is a good way to read news about Asia. Their Dec 7th issue shows the importance of this newsletter where of 100 TV news segments, none on Asia. Stay informed.
FWIS tracks money and trends in US elections. Many of us wish money was not so important in politics, but it is. This newsletter will certainly open your eyes to what the other side is doing since you'll never see one of their targeted ads.
FOR KIDS! DrawTogether is a podcast and newsletter for kids of all ages to discover the world through drawing and have a whole lot of fun. Or just check it out to see how you can help kids.
Smart Mouth's subject is food but it is really about stories. So good reads every week with great pictures. Do you know Usinger's in Milwaukee? Binge worthy.
Snack Stack covers food. Do you know what a donair is? It is a Halifax food and the issue is typical of the depth they go into.
3 by 7 provides three songs every week. It is a good guide to new music on YouTube. Arj is a good guide.
Bye Newsletters
One of the inspirations for Reading.email was the great content from the developer newsletters. Some have published over 500 issues! So it is sad to report that a few of the longest running newsletters have stopped or paused publishing.
DB Weekly published their last issue in June.
After 265 weekly issues Frontend Cookies shut down.
On Christmas Eve Mobile Dev Weekly closed after 8 years
RWD Weekly broke their streak of weekly publishing at issue #462. Hope they come back.
The UI Animation Newsletter has not published since June. Missing the inspiration.
We’ll miss them.
